Top 5 Actions

Hello everyone and congratulations on surviving another Monday, as a celebration of Monday being finished I am going to count down my top five action movies. Watch one of these and have a great rest of the day!
1.       The Italian Job- This movie is a classic, with Jason Statham, Mark Wahlberg and a great array of characters this movie awesome, mini cooper is the car of choice for the chases and it makes for an exciting ride!

2.       The Town- I think this is the most underrated movie on the list. This is a dark crime thriller that is based out of a bad neighborhood in Boston, what makes this movie exceptional is the depth of the characters and the way the movie draws you into their lives. A great movie but don’t go into it thinking that it will be a light movie. Also, the nun masks are exceptional.

3.       Jack Reacher- This was a surprise for me, I went to see this one in theatres over my Christmas break and it impressed me, I am not a Tom Cruise fan but he played the role very well and the plot well thought out,  based on the book One Shot by Lee Child they did a very good job bringing this to the big screen.

4.       Die Hard- What can I say? Bruce Willis killing terrorists in an office building in order to save his wife, yes please! A Christmas movie for guys, this movie is sure to thrill, from watching Willis walk across broken glass in bare feet to the fight scenes this movie is a festive favorite. Yipi kay yay.

5.       First Blood- You can’t go wrong with Sylvester Stallone. This is the first installment of the Rambo franchise and it is the best one, John Rambo is a Vietnam veteran who has difficulties readjusting to civilian life after being a Green Beret for so long. An emotional ending that is well worth watching, a classic.

Be sure to comment, I’d love to hear from you!
Enjoy

Top 5 Comedies

One of my favorite things to do is watch movies, I love comedies, the kind that moms and girlfriends everywhere call stupid and roll their eyes at. Here are my top 5 comedies of all time.

1.       Anchorman: This movie has an allstar lineup including Will Ferrell  and Steve Carell  and it doesn’t disappoint. This movie is probably the most quotable movie of all time. A great movie to watch with your buddies and when you need a laugh.

Quote: “They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time, it works every time.”

2.      The Other Guys: Another good bros movie, this movie has a great cast including the Rock, Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell. A movie about two stupid cops, this movie is great because it mixes action and comedy without taking itself too seriously. A must watch.

Quote: “Got a couple of tips... help you guys stay out of jail. One: try your hardest to not be Black or Hispanic.”

3.       The Pink Panther: Another cop comedy, Steve Martin stars as Jacque Clouseau, a bumbling police officer hired to be a decoy detective when a legendary diamond is stolen. Through a bunch of crazy situations Steve Martin makes you laugh with his facial expressions and French accent. Funny yet appropriate for everyone.

Quote: “I…I don’t even own a mace”
4.       Monty Python and the Holy Grail: A hilarious spoof about King Arthur and the nights of the round table trying to find the Holy Grail. With all of their comical adventures from a killer rabbit to the knights who say Ni this movie is great.

Quote: “Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of Elderberries!”

5.        Happy Gilmore: Adam Sandler plays a hockey player who takes up  golf in order to save his grandmothers home. This is a  hilarious comedy, a highly original, sincerely funny movie. A must for anyone who has ever gotten frustrated at golf.
Quote: “What are you doing!?!” “Just looking for the other half of my bottle, oh here it is”
I would consider these to be the five best comedies I have ever seen. They make me laugh and are a great way to end a day, I hope you all like them as much as me!

A Little About Me

Hi my name is Andrew, this is my first attempt at blogging, I am a nineteen and in my first year of Electrical Engineering at Conestoga College. I get called a lot of things but boring is not one of them, I enjoy making life exciting and having a good time. My most recent adventure involved me becoming a pet owner, it was going well until Saturday morning when my hamster of one week, Oreo died, and apparently he stressed out too much and starved himself to death. So I went and got a new hamster yesterday as Oreo was still under warranty, my new hamsters name is Panda, Senior Panda if we are being formal. Senior Panda is a very cute hamster and I am very happy to have him. Anyways I hope you enjoy my blog,  I’m excited to keep you posted about my life.
Stay classy internet.
